Generatepress Theme Customization

First, you install the Generatepress free theme, then install and activate the GP premium plugin, the link I gave below. This plugin will change your free theme to a premium theme. If you do not know how to install a theme or plugin, follow the steps below.

Be sure to back up the site before changing your theme, because if you make a mistake in editing, you can restore data from the previous site. I would recommend that you store the backup file on your drive with the help of the updraftsplus plugin.

install generatepress theme

1. Log in to your WordPress admin page,
2. Click on the theme option under the appearances section,
3. Search generatepress by clicking on Add new button,
4. Install and activate the theme that you will find in the image below.

Install GP premium plugin

1. Then click on add new option under the plugin section,
2. Click on the upload plugin button,
3. Now upload the plugin which download link I gave below, then click on the Choose file button and install it now.
4. Activate this plugin.

Import generatepress premium option

1. Click on Configure button of generatepress plugin,
2. Now you can see multiple check boxes, activate this all option.
3. You can see the Site Library button on the top of this page,
4. Then click on the Marketer template,
5. Click on the Get Started button in the right sidebar,
6. Uncheck the Import Demo Content option,
7. Check the I Understand option,
8. Now click Begin Import button, it will take some time, then the premium option will be imported.

Premium generatepress theme customization

Click on Customize button under the Appearances section, Now your theme’s customization interface will open, this is where you need to edit everything. Here you need to replace the custom CSS code, which links I gave below. Then follow the steps below ………

1. Copy Downloaded CSS code,
2. Click on the Additional CSS button,
3. Now you can see the default CSS code, delete all this code,
4. Paste copied code here.
5. Hit on the Published button.
6. Now one click on the back button (<).

• The next two options – are 30.

1. Archives under Content Section:-
   • Content-Type – Excerpt,
   • Excerpt word count – 50,
   • Read More Level – Read More/Continue Reading/Full Post/ View Full Post/etc.
   • Check the first checkbox,
   • Read the next 6 checkboxes, then select as you like.
2. Single under Content Section:-
   • Keep all by Default
3. Archives under Featured Image:-
   • Location – Below Title,
   • Alignment – Center,
   • Media Attachment Size – Thumbnail,
   • Width/Height – 320/0.
4. Posts & Pages under Featured Images:-
   • Display featured images – Check,
   • Display padding around images – Check,

   • Alignment – Center.
   • Keep next all options by default.

• Then click the published button.
• Now exit the Layout section,
