Today I will show you how to add a Google News Follow button to your site. This button has been added to every article on my site, as you can see. So you don’t need a separate demo, you can use it on both your blogger or wordpress sites.
BENEFITS:- With Google News approval, all your articles will show on Google News. A visitor can follow any news according to his needs so that he gets the latest news updates. That way, if someone follows your site’s news, your visitors will also get new news updates. The following option should be delivered to the visitor, through the article.
NOTE:- Many users use HTML CSS code to add buttons like this, but I don’t recommend it. Because if CSS, and JavaScript increase on the website, the speed will decrease. So I created the same button but the method is different. Using it will not slow down your site speed at all.
METHODE:- Very simple method – first create an image like mine. Then you have to set the Google News link on that image. But you need to add the image in the right way, let’s discuss the details.

Create Google News Follow Button
1. Create Button Image:-
I have gone through the steps below to create the Image, you can do the same.
- First I downloaded three png photos, ie – Follow Me, Google News Icon, and Click Here.
- Now I have created the image using the Pixallab app on mobile.
- I kept the image dimension 256×68,
- To keep the website’s background color consistent, the image’s background color has been kept the same.
- After editing, I changed the size and format of the image. ie jpg to webp and 466kb to 90 kb.
- You will also create the button image this way.
I have given the download link of the images, you can download it. But it is in zip format, extracting it will get the images.
2. Create Image Link:-
Now you have to create the link of that image, for this –
- Go to the WordPress Admin panel,
- Click on the Add New option under the Media section,
- Upload your edited image,
- After uploading click on the “Media Library” option.
- You will get the image, click on it.
- At the bottom, you will find the “Copy URL to clipboard” button, click on it and copy the image link.
- Save the image link in Notepad, it will be helpful in the below steps.
3. Collect Your News Publication Link
Now collect your Google News publication URL, like my URL is- https://news.google.com/publication/
CAAqBwgKMNLDswsw397KAw?ceid=IN:en&oc=3. For this, you open https://news.google.com/ and search your site.
In some cases, many people do not find his site even if they search. Whether you search by your site title or by URL, you will find your news.
When you get your news, you will find a share option on the top right, click here and copy the link. You also save this link in notepad.
4. Download and Modify my Code
<center><a href="YOUR NEWS URL"><img src="YOUR IMAGE URL" alt="techparimal news" width="256" height="68"></a></center>Edit two places in the code, YOUR NEWS URL and YOUR IMAGE URL. Just adding the two URLs will complete your code, then you can use it. If you want to make the image smaller, reduce the two places that have 100%.
How to Add Google News Follow Button on Website
Now I will show you how to add this Google News follow button to your site. I will cover Blogger and WordPress sites separately, Blogger site first.
Add Google News Follow Button on Blogger
- MANUAL:- If you want to manually add a button to the post, then –
- First, edit the HTML of your post.
- Now after the element where you want to put the button, paste it and save it. If adding above the post, paste it at the beginning of the post HTML code.
- AUTOMATIC:- There are two ways to add automatic elements –
- Using the Widget, if you add a sidebar widget, the button will appear in the sidebar of every post.
- In the Ads area, many themes have the option of auto-ad placement. You can add this button code instead of the in-article ad code of such themes. Then the follow button will be added in a certain place in each post.

- MANUAL:- To add news follow the button manually in the WordPress article –
- Open your article,
- Click on the add block icon(+) and choose Custom HTML,
- Past code and preview your post.
- AUTOMATIC:- There are three ways to add automatic elements –
