How to start limit login attempts on the site?
Step 1:- First you need to install and activate the plugin called Limit Login Attempts Reloaded. You will get advanced features in the premium version, but this can be done with the free version.
Step 2:- Click on the Limit Login Attempts option under the setting button, then click on the Settings option of Plugin.
Step 3:- To comply with GDPR rules, you can click on the “GDPR Compliance” checkbox to display a message on your login page.
Step 4:- If you want a notification, check the email box and enter the email id.
Step 5:- If you scroll the page a little then you will get the Local App option, here you have to do the main settings.
- Allows Retries:- Here you set the first attempts, Recommend 3.
- Minutes Lockouts:- If a user locks out for the first time, set the time after which he will be able to log in again, recommended 30 minutes.
- Give the number three box how many times the user will be able to try again after getting the second chance. Recommend 3.
- If the user locks out a second time, enter the limit number in the last two boxes. Recommend 24 hours.
